dang, PC, i share your frustration w/ the medical profession.  i see a lot of us as outside the bell curve - that big curve that has 2 little tails, one on either side.  80% of people have ailments that fall inside the curve, and that's where most of the guesswork goes as well as the treatments and meds.  i do believe a lot of us have ailments that fall in those little flaps on either side - 10% on one side of 'normal', 10% on the other side.  i do believe stress has a lot to do w/ the ailments we have that hang around on those 'tails', but aren't researched by the medical profession, cuz stress isn't tangible, and docs don't like to work outside the 'bell', so to speak.  it's awful to try to get answers from them - they just do not want to go there, probably cuz of liability or something.  so, we go untreated, w/o answers, and yes, have to become our own medics.
