Having been very recently diagnosed with CPTSD from childhood abuse, which whilst somewhat scary, was indeed a relief.  My therapist is suggesting we embark using Rewind Therapy.  Not knowing what this was, I have been carrying on some of my own research into the subject matter and I cannot find any references to treatment for CPTSD, but plenty for PTSD.  Is this an effective route to go down, or is there any experience with this?  Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Hi Caz  and welcome

I have no experience with therapy for cPTSD and I haven't heard of rewind therapy either.
But I think that any therapy that caters to PTSD can be a good start. And since the same therapist who has suggested this treatment also has diagnosed you with cPTSD I figure she has at least some clues on where this therapy will work and where not.

So I guess that if you have a good overall feeling by what you have read on Rewind Therapy, testing the waters with it a couple of times is a good starting point.
