About this thread, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.  I suppose I'll do neither, since my most prominent response these days is numbness.

But I told myself I'd check this forum briefly before I set out to start a clean up that's long overdue.

I've been thinking that the mess indicates a lack of self-care that I need to address.  It's symbolic for sure but also part of the whole problem.

Still here at least you know you are not alone. I know the clutter is an issue for me. I plan to seriously attack it when I get back, right now I just have to get through the anxiety of going on vacation tomorrow. Good luck with your project.
