Hi there, I haven't been able to access the new member part of the site but wanted to say hello and thankyou for letting me join. So much helpful content that resonates.  I've had cptsd for most of my life and managed to 'seem ok' to the outsude world.

In the last couple of years it has become more prominent as I've reached middle age and losing my elderly parents, physical health stressors and work pressure and whilst I get psychiatric support I am struggling with feelings of lack of psychological safety and change.

Thanks for helping me see already that I am not alone.

Welcome to the forum, Aurora  :heythere:

You are writing on the new member part of the forum. Is there some other part you can't access?

Welcome. I think many of us here have had the experience of muddling through until reaching a crunch point in middle age. I know I have.

Hi and a warm welcome to Out of the Storm Aurora!  :heythere:

I think those of here who are older can relate to things catching up with us at some point so you're not alone in that. I hope being here helps you sort out some of what you're struggling with.

Thankyou all and yes Blueberry, I did work out how to post in the new members section eventually.

Hello Aurora1931 ;I can Relate , being a senior myself which has its own challenges, on top of dealing with C-PTSD , I do not the energy I used to , so coping with the trauma is harder , also ,I have to accept, dealing with the consequences , all of my life , sigh, on the other hand, I have better coping methods ,than when I was younger , so I have a better handle in dealing with the trauma , for me ,being a senior with C-PTSD, is a mixed bag
