Here's a recent article regarding the results of an initial research study about the potential neuropsychological benefits for complex trauma survivors of expressive art and movement therapy, in other words--engaging different parts of the brain than those in talk therapy. 

Some of us from OOTS were involved in the study so I thought it would be a good idea to share the findings,  conclusions and impact statement regarding this approach to therapy. It's not the full article but it gives you an idea of what it was about.
