Hello  ; My so-called mother lied about her childhood, she cast herself as always the victim ,always wanting my sympathy, the trouble was ,I was not around back then, and had no one to ask, one lie I was able to confront her with: she told me for years that her father throw  her out, when she was 15 ,gave her $50, and put her on a bus ,the truth, she graduated from high school, so she was 18, $50, was a lot of money in 1943 , and her father sent her to live with her mother , my so called mother was an NPD, that  must be reason , everything she said was to manipulate, it makes it hard for me to trust what people tell me about themselves.

What happened when you confronted her Alexandra?  From my experience with an NM, it doesn't go well and they are quite slippery about getting out of the lie or they get really angry and hurt to back you off.

Hello Kizzie;  My so-called mother's response was to not talk to me for 2 weeks, which was no loss , in fact it was nice not to have listen to her, the funny thing was she thought she was punishing me ,while  I felt relieved not to have to listen to her , she never mentioned  that particular story ever again.
