Openingstijden: Maandag t/m vrijdag 09:00 – 16:00 uur.

I like that this site has so many self-help groups and that they recognize and encourage talking with others who are dealing with the same issue:

In a self-help group, you are not alone. You share what is on your mind, listen to others, and discover together how to deal with difficult feelings or situations. Everything happens on the basis of equality: there are no healthcare professionals, just people who want to support each other based on their own experience.

So true.    We need something like this in other countries

SO,

I may have missed it, but it doesn't look like there's a cptsd group?

It's not dissimilar to what happens here, is it? This one is just centered around meeting up in the physical world. It's highly local, which makes it even more impressive just how many support groups are under this umbrella. They get requests from all over the country for assistance with setting up support groups elsewhere. I'd love to see this network and OOTS connect. We all need to find the others, and discover there's nothing wrong with us. This is what we need in every city, worldwide! The gap between the DSM and the reality of CPTSD so many live every day needs to be closed. I'm not counting on the health care system making that happen any time soon. I have more to add, but will leave the presumed preaching to the choir for now.

It's a little difficult to find, indeed. It's not you. When you hoover over "SELF-HELP GROUPS", you can click on "Mental health". If you scroll down that page, you'll find "+ PTSD". If you click that, you'll see several groups. The Dutch CPTSS translates to CPTSD.

Ah thanks. I didn't check PTSD, and thought it was just PTSD.

I had a similar thought about how to set up a group perhaps with a trained clinician to go through the Coping With Trauma and Dissociation Group. At first, I thought about maybe putting a call out on the r/Asktherapists sub on reddit to see i f anyone was interested, but perhaps a website/resource that would link therapists and group participants (maybe like above) would be great.

I read through the history of how this organization got going and the journey to where it is today and it's amazing and daunting at the same time. Imagine starting off in the living room of someone's house with an office in the spare bedroom. It takes a lot of will and perseverance to get something like this in place but they did it so it can happen elsewhere. It's a testament to how much we can help one another given a bit of a helping hand to deal with the logistics.
