Lately I've been listening to this podcast and found a nugget I'd like to share here. At 31 min into this episode, Haas goes into being authentic and dealing with abandonment terror, resentment, and sadness. He calls the emotional cascade that follows when survivors stick to authenticity the "earthquake and the tsunami". And he offers a "route map" through it. Spot on, imho.

Note that Haas looks through the lenses of attachment theory, Buddhism, neuroscience, and his own experience. He has trained with Shinzen Young and Daniel P. Brown and as far as I can tell, he has recovered from a horrific childhood which caused complex relational trauma.

Interesting episode, SO.

"Reclaiming effortless authenticity" is beautifully described. Anger, terror, sadness, freedom.

I also appreciated the part on "searching ardently until the realization that there is no self to find." That gives "letting go" more meaning.

Thanks for sharing the podcast.
