Hi Everyone:

We have a guideline about swearing because we've found over the years once members start to swear it takes off and then there's a ton of it. I know it can feel good to let one go every once in a while but at the same time we have many members who were exposed to very abusive language and it can be very triggering for them.  We want to keep this a safe , respectful space for everyone so please do your best to abide by our guideline.

Thanks!

When I finished the first draft of my first novel, it was very kindly pointed out to me that the f word in its various forms was prolifically scattered over every single page... oops. I hadn't even noticed how frequently I'd used it. I was such an angry person back then!

I like to swear in real life, it just feels so good/appropriate sometimes.  However, for the reasons I gave we made the guideline not to swear and turned on the censor. I don't miss it as much in posts as I thought I would TBH.
