Hi All

New here. I am in my twelfth year in Recovery(Looooong Time). And What a journey it has been with so many trips and falls but with many Break throughs into becoming 'Whole again'. Cannot believe I am still here at times. More than anything I am just grateful to be continuing on taking things step by step day by day. I am so blessed to have met some amazing people who continue to help me and guide me. Current practices include:

Twenty minutes guided Breathwork (Rory Warnock - itunes). followed by twenty minutes guided meditation (Deepak Chopra App). I do this at 6am every day, 7 days a week religiously.

Person Training - Three mornings a week.
Float therapy - (Sensory Deprivation Tank) - Three times a week
Equine therapy with horses - Once a week
Psychology - Once a fortnight

It has taken me the best part of a decade to have built a routine and structure with these amazing tools and supports. 2026 is going to be the best year I have seen in twelve years. Looking forward to seeing what the next 3-6 months have in store for me.

"Light and Love" to all of you for taking the initiative to making yourself "Whole again". My heart goes out to all of you :-) (Hugs x).

Hi there,  :heythere:
welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you've put a lot of time and consistency into building your routine, and I hope this space can be another place of support along the way.

Wishing you a steady path forward. 💛

Welcome.

I assume you find the float therapy helpful as you do it three times a week. I tried it once and would love to do it again. The time I tried it was in my husband in a double tank. I knew it would be unlikely to be fully beneficial for me as he fidgets and chats and breathes loudly and what have you. Fortunately, very early in the session, he did what they tell you NOT to do and rubbed his eyes with the salty water. This meant he had to get out and deal with it, so he said he wasn't coming back in and I could shut the lid and enjoy the experience finally! It did relax me. My slight concern about doing it therapeutically for CPTSD is that I don't get on at well with meditation type things and I suspect I would just dissociate with regular float therapy.

I'm glad you have found things that work for you and am glad that 2026 is going to be the best year yet. May that trend continue.
