Hi everyone,
I'm new here.

Today I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD and I must admit that I really feel lost.
I've discussed it with my therapist but still I wasn't able to tell her how I felt when she gave me the news and right now I just feel like crying, sleeping and shouting.

hey, lea,

so glad you're here.  yeah, getting a diagnosis like that can definitely be off-putting, especially in the beginning when it first becomes real.  it make take a bit for it to sink in with all its ramifications, and all those feelings you're having are quite common!  but, you've come to a good place to talk about it, get things straightened out, find support from generous people  who know what it's like to be in your shoes.  i've had a lot of help here, and i hope you find the same.  best to you.

Hello and welcome, courage! I'm glad you're here.

You sound like you're feeling pretty overwhelmed. I can remember feeling a mix of relief, sadness, hurt and confusion at realizing I have cptsd. Still, for me, it was better than just thinking I was defective. Damage can be undone, habits can be unlearned, and I believe there's hope. I hope you'll find answers and comfort here.

Thanks for joining! :)
