Hi, I am a woman that has lived with CPTSD since before PTSD was even correlated with sexual violence and abuse. It has taken many years to integrate all that happened. I created a website and wrote a book. What I have found is that even with integration there are continual challenges and I do my best to meet them with courage. It is my belief that shame is a construct devised by society to control. I will no longer allow it in my life or the lives of those that I love. Regret at times perhaps - no shame. It has been a long journey and I am grateful for what I have learned through experience, education, and willingness to be open to others. I am happy to be part of this community. Shosh5678

Welcome,  :heythere:
Thank you for sharing your clarity around shame and your honesty that the work continues even after integration.
(If that's ok)

Thank you very much - and thank you for asking! Virtual hug is ok. Physical - not without asking  :)
