Walk with me in the Secret Garden,
A place that brings sanctuary to my heart,
Where all things blossom, and grow,
Roses blooming and sweet scent pervading

Sometimes I feel fearful and afraid,
When I can't find my way into the garden,
Like something stands in the way,
So I listen for the robin's call...

He will show me the way,
He will guide me there,
I know that entering, will bring me peace
There is tranquility there.

Blueberry

Lovely, Hope!

Just today I was thinking how I'd like to read some fiction on gardens, without any real sort of plot or full of people or anything, but I couldn't think what that would be. And then I read your poem! It's like a gift - and also reminds me: poetry is the answer for me atm.

So glad you have the robin to lead you when it's hard to find the way.  :)

Somehow I missed this, or it didn't appear on my feed until now.

Regardless, I'm so grateful and delighted it appeared right now. I've been in the deep throes of some pretty dark ef's that have haunted my life lately (again), and I've been having a hard time functioning, or even wanting to exist.

So your beautiful poem was something I needed at this moment. Building on that remarkable story many of us discovered a while back reminds us of the dreams we can still have that make a cruel world full of wonder again.

Thanks, Hope ~

Not Alone

Beautiful poem, Hope. Thank you for sharing it and for helping us to share our enjoyment, thoughts and feelings about the book in your other post.
