What's everyone's favorite types of tea and coffee?  I like English afternoon and earl grey tea.  Or anything fruity.  I'm not much of a coffee drinker.

I love a good decaffeinated French roast, hot or iced, cream, no sugar! For tea, mostly I drink peppermint or another herbal, but Earl Grey with a splash of milk is a sentimental attachment.

I must admit that I am that person who stands in line at Starbucks and curses (in my head) those with long, complicated coffee orders lol.  :whistling:  Just plain Jane decaf coffee and occasional tea for me. Each to their own though.

Hot chocolate if I have a choice. Whipped cream on top is nice, but not a requirement. But please do NOT ruin a perfectly good hot chocolate experience with tiny marshmallows floating in it.

Tea — peppermint with a splash of honey.

Coffee — smells wonderful, tastes bitter. Only acceptable in "keep me awake" emergencies, with an insane amount of sweetener to cover up the bitterness — or for soaking ladyfingers for a good tiramisu.

...and my therapists say I need to learn to have needs. ;D

Great choices everyone!  And TheBigBlue, I'm glad you have needs.

I have two big ones these days:

1) Masala chai: 1 regular cup of tea, either straight assam or a chai blend of some kind, followed up with milk and a dash of spice mix, like what you can buy at your local Indian grocery (Everest and MDH are major spice brands that should have their own tea or masala chai mixes). I went slightly crazy and freshly ground my own cardamom once, and it was SO good.

2) Golden Milk: when I don't want something with caffeine, nor as sugary as hot chocolate, I'll use a golden milk spice blend (turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, etc) in a cup of hot milk, sweetened with honey to taste. If you've never tried it before, it's actually quite like hot chocolate, except where in HC the base aroma is cocoa, in this drink, it's a base aroma of all these chai spices, with a little twist of turmeric that is absolutely divine!

Oh, golden milk sounds delicious!  I may have to try that sometime.

These days I´m all about peppermint and lemongrass -- good for nerves  ;D

As for coffee -- never have I ever drunk "real" coffee so can´t comment.  :Idunno:
