It's been snowing since yesterday so we're going to have a white Christmas after all.

I have things planned on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. None of it involves me being hostess. I can just enjoy :)

I'd like to wish everybody on the forum a Happy Christmas!
For anybody struggling, a thread has been set up here https://www.cptsd.org/forum/index.php?topic=16499.0

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas!!!  I like the quote about Snowflakes being the butterflies of Winter.

Hi everyone,
I know this thread was for last Christmas, but I'm looking for somewhere to just say something about Christmas, and so I came here - it's 2025 - somehow the whole thing takes on a frenzy and I just wanted to note a few moments of calm within it - hope everyone is negotiating their way through the festive times.

Thanks for starting this thread up again Hope.

This year our son is home for a week and we're seeing friends out for dinner so nice and quiet and calm.  So-o-o nice after all the frantic years with N family members creating chaos and drama.

I hope everyone has a holiday as free from stress and upset as possible.

I've shoved a few "shoulds" out of the diary as I've been under the weather. I had to miss a few "nice to do" things, too. You win some, you lose some. But overall I am happy with how I have navigated the lead up and we now have a quiet few days just doing things I want to do. I have managed to pare the obligatory FOO visit on Boxing Day down to the absolute bare minimum, and we'll have a nice visit to our favourite coffee shop on the way home to decompress as needed. And then nice and quiet through the new year.

Nice food, good TV and just relaxing, reading, doing art and a little bit of exercise now I'm back up for that.

I'm content.  :)

Wishing everyone a happy time.
