Hello, my name is greencat and I am in my late 20s. I experienced a combination of emotional abuses growing up, and I struggle with symptoms of CPTSD as a result. I don't feel ready to describe much about it, but after college I began realizing that I was parentified and very enmeshed with one of my parents in a harmful way. And both my parents behave in damaging ways and are not safe to communicate honestly with. I have worked in therapy on and off, and come a long way, but I still struggle a lot. So I am grateful to join this community and I hope to feel less alone, because then I will feel less ashamed. Though I wish none of us had reasons to belong to this board. Thank you for reading.
