This is a question to the forum. Has anyone tried medication that helps with dissociation?

I've been on lexapro for the past year and a half, I think it's helped immensely with dissociation and depersonalization. I'd attribute it mostly to less anxiety, over time having waaaay less anxiety almost makes your brain re-gear and attach to reality a lot better. I haven't had any side effects in my case except some restless leg and weight gain, but the weight gain is more I like food more now that I'm happier. It's different for everyone possibly of course but my experience has been at least bounds better than going unmediated.

Hi Blanca lap
I am on citalopram a ssri anti dep and it helps a lot re flashbacks and disassociation. I get them very rarely now. I read in the body keeps the score that ssri are good for this area
