I have a terrible time sleeping.  It is terrible. Anybody have any suggestions.... besides benedryl or other drugs that make me have a hangover in the morning.

Have you tried melatonin? Works for me. I take half the recommended dose.

I have been told a lot about sleep.  I learned about sleep hygiene.  It includes going to bed and getting up at the same time every day.  Not having a clock in view.  No light in the room.  The bed is only for sleep and sex.  No TVs in your room.  You can look sleep hygiene up to find many useful ideas.

I find some of it doesn't work with my trauma history, but I do the best I can.  I panic in a dark room and use a clock for grounding when I wake up and don't know where I am.
