I'm absolutely floored by the decision to aquit George Pell and release him from prison! I'm speechless. How could this be???! It's not right!

all i know, and this disgusts me to my core, is that these people defend each other. i won't say what i think should be done with or to them. your reaction is totally on point, 3r, and i share it. they know exactly what they're thinking, and it has nothing to do with right and wrong. those terms don't exist in their vocabularies nor their lives.

I agree - it seems to me this was less about justice and more about "friends-in-high-places". But, I don't know the details. Maybe there was something in Australian law that the prosecution neglected.
I feel better about it today but my heart really goes out to everyone affected emotionally by this decision.
