Title: Please Define
Post by: Not Alone on April 21, 2019, 10:01:02 PM
I've seen these two phrases several times, but could find them in the glossary or acronyms. What is meant when people refer to "fleas" and "gray rock"? Thanks.  ???

From our sister website, OOTF: https://outofthefog.website/what-to-do-2/grey-rock-safe-detachment - very detailed explanation with examples

Fleas:  It's a term they use over on OOTF. Maybe I shouldn't use it here. It's a term used to describe bad, unhelpful habits especially in communication with other people, that are not enough to qualify as a personality disorder. I'm sure that pretty much all of us on here have some fleas, because we mostly had to develop non-ideal methods of interaction and communication in order to survive those families of ours. When we continue these unhelpful methods in the present day, that is referred to as having fleas.

Thank you, Blueberry. Now when I read "fleas" I will understand and not feel itchy.  ;D Thanks also for the link regarding "gray rock." Very helpful.
