Title: Adding Reason for Trigger Warnings
Post by: Kizzie on October 27, 2017, 05:45:37 PM
Three Roses, Dee and I would like to thank you for using warnings when posts might be triggering    Many of you already do this (and tk you for doing so :applause:), but we'd like to ask everyone to also add a few words to describe what it is you think may be triggering. For example:

Trigger Warning - Sexual Abuse  (or domestic violence, physical abuse, past suicide attempt, etc).

This provides members with more to go on in deciding to read or not read a post rather than having to read partway to see what it is that's triggering.

Finally, in accordance with our guidelines, we also want to remind members to please only include enough information to get across what you need to and avoid overly graphic posts.  Detailed accounts of abuse/trauma can be quite triggering and  (re)traumatizing, and that's something we want to avoid while still being able to express what we need to in order to heal and recover.

Tks everyone,

Kizzie
