Title: everything looks dark
Post by: mourningdove on March 26, 2017, 06:49:23 PM
Does anyone else experience that everything literally looks darker when having a major EF? I am having one now and trying to figure it out. Am I not getting enough oxygen or something? It is really scary.

 Sorry to hear! I do experience something visual while in an EF - if by darker you mean bleaker, yes I also experience things looking physically different, not just intellectually "darker".

Thanks, ThreeRoses.

Yes, I mean that things look physically different. Like someone turned a dimmer switch on the world or something. It is accompanied by an increased sense of  menace and, yes, bleakness. It's been going on 5 hours now. There may be dark spots in my field of vision, too. That's why I was wondering if I am not getting enough oxygen for some reason.

Gosh, this is so awful. :(

edit: just to add that this is not uncommon for me when I get the bigger EFs.

Hmmm ... the dark spots in your field of vision concern me tho - ? It may be best to be seen by a doctor to check you out.

I'm starting to wonder if the visual element is because of a significant increase in blood pressure. Would that make sense?
