Hey, I'm pretty new here so I'm not quite sure how to introduce myself, gonna leave it short and sweet to avoid rambling.
I've known I've had PTSD for a while since my trauma with an unpleasant ex partner, though I wasn't aware it was C-PTSD until recently (honestly I didn't know it was a thing until recently!). While I've gotten a lot better over the past few years I still feel like I have a long way to go. I thought maybe somewhere like this would provide me with some tips to go from 'coping' to not having to just cope, y'know?
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and I hope to be able to give input on topics as well as learn from them. Thank you for reading this and I hope you're all having a great day.
I'm new, too. I guess we've both found a safe place to share and consider what others have to share and contribute!
Welcome, thelittlebirb!
Short and sweet is great, and rambling is great, too - whatever works for you! Glad you are here. :)
Hi and a warm welcome to OOTS TheLittleBird :heythere: One book a lot of us found useful is Pete Walker's "CPTSD: From Surviving to Thriving" which does help to move from coping to living. He has a web site also that you can check out and see if his style resonates with you. The URL is http://pete-walker.com/. Hope it helps!
