My mother in law found this site for me today. My doctor diagnosed me with CPSTD, OCD, Post traumatic head trauma, anxiety, stress and depression...finally a diagnosis ..oh happy day...I was a victim of child abuse from as early as I could remember then when I married young to someone I thought was safe he too began abusing me and again I became a victim..I found out 4 children and 16 years later after divorcing him that he also fondled my oldest daughter and had beaten my oldest son while I was gone to work. In my childhood my mother was a prostitute hooked on drugs and alcohol. She was married 7 times to all abusive men. I knew alot of things that had happened to me and my brothers but more I found out in my 20's after reoccurring nightmares. My doctor asked me if I wanted to undergo hypnosis to find out more but I know enough and am afraid of knowing more. I don't see counselors but have in the past at different times, I don't trust anyone and am very glad that this site is anonymous or I probably wouldn't have joined at all... hoping to learn more and share with anyone here..thank you for this site

I'm glad you are here and I hope you feel you belong, as I do.  It sounds like you have some support but here maybe you can identify as well.

Hi Honeykeeper and a warm welcome to OOTS  :heythere:  It can be difficult to be diagnosed as many of us know, and yet at the same time it can be a relief once we finally know what's going on inside, that it isn't that we are crazy or defective but have a disorder that many others do unfortunately.
That's really interesting that you M-I-L found this site for you.  Is she someone you can count on for support?
