Title: Erm. Hi?
Post by: glor on September 30, 2016, 11:02:53 PM
So I'm new here, I found this place from the post on OOTF about C-PTSD. I've known for a while now that I have it, but finding support in dealing with it has been difficult. I want to expand my support network so that I have a variety of places to turn to for help.

About me: I am 31, genderqueer [use they/them pronouns, please and thank you], survivor of extreme childhood violence of a number of fashions, as well as severe events throughout my life.

Fun things: I'm an artist, and I like to cook. I live in the glorious South Sound of Washington with a very sweet partner. My hair is currently blue, and I have a face full of metal [piercings].

Hi glor

I'm 29 genderfluid with blue hair (on half) and a face full of metal too! is Washington more accepting than other places you think? I'm living in a very small rural arm pit of the world and people look at me like I'm a circus side show...they don't even understand what "they/them" pronoun preference means! They just think I'm "gay" and "weird"...sigh

My art has suffered a lot since my diagnosis and trying to heal. How do you keep yourself continuing to create? My art used to be my saving grace, now I'm so convinced everything I do is "garbage" and "never enough" so I dont' even bother anymore "what's the point? " etc.

Welcome and hope to hear from you...*hugs*!
