Well, some of us if not most of us probably struggle with self-esteem and I've heard that saying positive things about yourself can actually boost that. Trying to think about things you like about yourself will maybe help you to see what you actually do like about yourself!
The minimum is five things but you can do more than that. ^^
I'll go first:
- My copper hair
- My ability to write
- That I can speak my mind
- That I can mimic people and animals
- That I am smart
Your turn!
...strong sense of empathy
....wonder/imagination
....creative flair
...mindfulness
...idiosyncratic/independent
- being straightforward (being quiet/listening when I can't be comes with that territory)
- inquisitive ("inquiring/curious minds want to know")
- perseverance
- "down to earth"
- I'm an outdoor man. Could well be outdoors in a city though.
- I like a good laugh.
- Since many times people have told me I'm a great 'presenter', I guess I should put "good advertiser/speaker" or something to that effect here. I like doing it, I've been a guide and presented several projects I (we) have been working on to the public. Personally I don't feel it's very special. But a dear friend once told me, in a very pervasive manner: "Don't brush this off! You may think it doesn't mean much, but it's a rare gift you have!"
Those are wonderful things that you are able to see in yourselves! Woodgnome, creativity is fun to have because you can see things in ways other people can't! So you can come up with ideas sometimes! And Dutch Uncle, laughter is the best medicine as the saying goes!
Um I'll add five more since I have been struggling a bit...
~I am a good artist
~I am good with animals
~I am loyal
~I can sing well
~I can understand things that are sometimes hard for most to understand (part of having Asperger's)

I see a lot of similarity in the responses and I wonder how much of these traits are CPTSD related, or for me possiblt spectrum related.
1. I try my hardest, am constantly learning, trying to be more sensitive to others, and bettering myself. I want to do better.
2. I empathise with all suffering. I can imagine.
3. I am aware of my own quirks.
4. I am honest, some would say to a fault, but I disagree. I don't mask my feelings well, and I want to know how others are truly feeling too.
5. I want to listen. I am not good with sympathy as an act, and I'm not good at conversation, but I want to hear others' stories and experiences. I truly want to. I am interested in the lives of others.

Bermuda, I relate to this. This could be my list, too. I think these are great qualities and that they are uncommon. I have often wondered why my having these qualities seems to be what gets me into the most trouble in my interpersonal relationships. I don't know very much about the spectrum and no one has ever said anything about me being on it, so I don't know about that part of it. Perhaps I should read up on that.
1. I am honest
2. I am reliable
3. I am conscientious
4. I am considerate
5. I am creative
1. I am creative
2. I like to study
3. I am kind to people
4. I deeply love my family
5. I haven't given up
I avoided this one. But I decided to take the challenge.
1. I am honest and open.
2. I worked hard to overcome trauma as to be a better person, even if I think it was way too slow and clumsy.
3. I have a very sensitive and gentle side, that I am digging up from underneath the scars.
4. I am creative and can be playful. I can improvise well.
5. I can trust again.
Well last night I managed to get my hair the way I want it with rollers and hairspray. Nice and fluffy curly wavy, not thin flat and straight.
I like learning stuff. I have quite a morbid curiosity.
I like eastern europe.
I love my adidas clothes.
I know Im supposed to put stuff like "Im honest" "Im polite" "Im intelligent" etc but i have great difficulty acceptign myself, I always want to be someone else even though "the someone else" in question i cant quite describe neatly at all
This is horribly hard for me, so I will do it.
1. I have empathy and kindness for people, especially people who are cast out by others.
2. I never learned to reflect and express myself and actively change in childhood, and I started teaching it to myself. I radically changed many things,
when I realised my life wasn't what I valued.
3. I went through horrible things, but persevered when things were really hard. I manage to find hope in small things.
4. I can be myself with people. I taught myself to show the real me. Rather than a mask.
5. I can be flexible and creative with practical troubles, like lack of money or a nearly missed airplane. I don't whine but just joyfully think of a different solution.
