Hello, everyone 😊 I'm new.
For the past six months, I've been experiencing relentless bullying online. Recently, for the first time in a long while (since March), I saw my psychologist, who said my condition most closely resembles CPTSD.
For context: I've had social phobia my whole life (working on it with a therapist for 5 years) and extremely high unhealthy level of empathy sensitivity (I often wonder if this might be a rare yet undiscovered condition - something like "hypersensitivity disorder") I have never met anyone as empathetically sensitive as me. My CPTSD diagnosis is very recent (less than a month ago).
I would like to make posts about what has been happening to me and to get understanding, support and advice if that's possible - maybe anyone had gone through anything similar? However, I believe it's best not to share the evidence I do have and the details, I'm very afraid of triggering anyone, making anyone worry. Also, I'm not a native English speaker, if something is unclear, please, ask me😊
Welcome to the forum, Flutterby :heythere:
It's a very supportive place here, I hope you find that too.
A good place to write your story is on Journals https://www.cptsd.org/forum/index.php?board=61.0 You can write as much or as little as you want. Also, just put in trigger warnings to let other mbrs know when you're going to write something potentially triggering, maybe that can help you not worry too much about others? Just thinking of your empathy sensitivity.
It could be that there are fewer forum mbrs to have experienced online bullying than bullying by their families or back in childhood at school or at work all face-to-face, but bullying is bullying and relentlessly for 6 months sounds awful. I'm sorry you've been going through that. I've found that even with my most outlandish seeming symptoms or experiences or feelings that there's usually at least one mbr on the forum who can relate.
Hi Flutterby and a warm welcome to Out of the Storm :heythere:
You can take your time and just share as much or as little as you want when you are comfortable. We do ask that members keep their sharing more general and don't include graphic details as they are difficult to read. That said, we've read a lot on here and that's why we're here - to share what did/didn't work for us, and give support.
