Hello all, :heythere:
I was diagnosed with "PTSD-like" symptoms or "aspects of PTSD" about 10 years ago. I don't think CPTSD was a thing then. I self-diagnosed CPTSD a few years ago based on You Tube videos.
I probably got it from a violent alcoholic father. I also had health problems which made me a pariah at school.
Currently on meds but not in therapy. I attend support meetings for people with anxiety/depression, but not specifically CPTSD.
Unable to do relationships, and have difficulty keeping a good job.
I found this board after some damaging episodes with anger.
I thought I'd see if this board was a good resource.

Hello and welcome! I've found a lot of vital information and support here. I think you will, too!

Welcome, Byron!
:heythere: Hi, Byron ...
OOTS has oodles of resources. In that way, it's very real; lots of pointers about the who/what/why of CPTSD, plus caring people whose reflections are posted in the forum. Welcome ... hope you can plug in and benefit as well.
Hi Byron. Welcome!
I hope you find this board supportive and helpful.
Hi and a warm welcome Byron! :heythere: It sounds like you are in the right place to get some support, information and have a safe place to talk about your past and what exactly led to your CPTSD.
