Option 1: Keep the word "disorder" votes: 4
Option 2: Take out "disorder"  and don't replace it votes: 0

i have already seen the acronym ptss, changing the 'd' for disorder to 's' for syndrome.  i don't know how universally accepted this is but i think the powers that be (maybe the victims themselves) are already rebelling against the word 'disorder' suggesting a finality, while a 'syndrome' suggests something more ongoing, complicated, and layered. 

that sounds more amenable to both these situations, in my mind.

If I could I'd change it to injury, it sounds the least stigmatizing and most accurate.
